The University received grants of more than $657,500 during the summer. The funds will be used in six areas ranging from expansion of the international studies graduate program to increased research programs. The nine grants included the largest from private sources in the history of the University, a $359,00C grant to the international studies institute from the Scaife family ol Pittsburgh, Pa.
