Points Ot
The next president of the Caro
lina student body must face sonic
demanding problems. As I see it,
the most prominent of these prob
lems may be listed as follows:
I. Student government at Caro
lina is inefficient, unrepresenta
ti of student opinion and unclear
in the defining of areas of respon
Sibility.
II. Faculty opposition to the
Student Bill of Rights and Respon
sibilities.
III. Perennial problems with
parking, food service, book store,
athletic facilities available to stu
dlents, registration, postal service
andl( library hours.
For these very significant p)rob
lems, I propose the following solu

I. Structural Reorganization: In
order to have better communica
tion between the various levels and
branches of Student Government,
and more specifically between the
individual student and Student
Government, I think we should
A. Set up a formal communica
tions network between the various
organizations in Student Govern
ment to promote better under
standing. This network would be
impiemented through such organi
zations as Pan-Hel, IFC, AWS,
IDC, TMA, TGA, Married Stu
dents Council and Student Bar As
sociation.
B. Expand the number of de
partments within the cabinet and
enlarge the number of positions
under each dlepartment.
