IFC Men New Yor, Representatives from USC par ticipated with over 1,500 Inter fraternity Council delegates in the National Interfraternity Confer ence held in New York City Nov. 29 through Dec. 3. Representing USC were Ed Bond, IFC president; Robby John ston, vice president; and Phil Tru luck, representative. Also attend ing was Dean of Men L.. Eugene Cooper. The purpose of the meeting, ac cording to Ed Bond, is to "bring together the national leaders of all fraternities and the leaders of the IIC's in an informal gather ing to discuss the problems and various aspects of Interfraternity Deadline The deadline for all news for the Social Affairs page is Monday. Attending the conference were officers and representatives of each Interfraternity Council and one outstanding member of each national fraternity in the United States. They met in lecture ses sions and discussion groups to dis cuss rushing procedures, pledging, I FC functions and their relations with their respective schools. Individual banquets were held by each of the fraternities par ticipating. At the group banquet the IFC awards were given out with the University of Illinois re ceiving the Iron Man Award, sym bol of its being chosen best IFC chapter in the country. At the conference the USC dele gation secured two speakers for its annual Greek Week which will be held the second week in March. The two speakers are Garth Jenk ins, national executive director of Pi Kappa Aipha, and Buck Owens, national executive director of Pi 1<appa Alpha fraternity.
