"The transaction to the back field was not hard to make," con mented the USC handyman, "be cause I playedl h a I f b a c k as a freshman. When asked to relay his most exciting incident or moment con nected with football, Reeves said, "I believe the most exciting thing for me is to watch Dan play. By HEYWARD ADDY Asst. Sports Editor The University of S o u t h Carolina chapter of the Fellow ship of Christian Athletes held a state-wide rally in Columbia Hall this past Sunday. Mike Fair, president of the USC FCA, was the master of ceremonies and Tom Wingard gave the invocation. Carolina coach, Jack Powers introduced the guest speaker, James Jef frey. In 1963, he was urged to give up his insurance career and take over the Directorship full time. Coach Paul Dietzel was one of the men who was v e r y instrumental in getting Jeffrey to accept the position. The basis of his speech had to do with the importance and achievements of the FCA. How ever, he added to his popularity by performing a n u m b e r of tricks of magic and even a little juggling act. "The biggest reason for the rally was to help people in the state become more interested in the FCA," stated Fair, "and to help the interested groups get organized." One of these speeches was at a businessmen's lunch eon in Columbia on Friday. The purpose of this meeting was to help those interested to organize a Fellowship on the adult level. Many very influential people around the nation are or have been connected with the FCA.
