H. S. Dent Will Speak On GOP Harry S. 1)ent, state Republican party chairman, will outline the impact of the GOP on Southern politics in a speech Tuesday at 7 p.m. here. Sponsored by the Clariosophic Literary Society, the meeting on the third floor of Legare College is open to all students. After his speech, l)ent will hold a question and answer session. I)ent, 37, worked on Sen. Strom Thurmond's s t a f f for approxi mately 10 years. In 1964, he was a state-wide manager for the Gold water presidential campaign. He was valedictorian of his high school class, a cum laude graduate of Presbyterian College with a double major in h i s t o r y and English and holds both Bachelor and laster of Law degrees. While at Presbyterian College, Dent was editor of the school's three campus publications, vice president of the student body and a fraternity president. lie is a f o r m e r Washington news cor respondent. Another USC student was injured in the acci dent but is not in critical condi tion. Miss McGowan's parents are Lt. Col. (Ret.) and Mrs. Charles S. McGowan of 3614 Northshore Drive. Golden Spur To Feature Val Pringle Valentine Pringle, d u b b e d by Harry Belafonte as "one of the greatest new voices of our genera tion," is appearing at the Golden Spur s t u d e n t nightclub tonight and Saturday night. Pringle has appeared on Broad way in "The Moon Beseiged" and "America Be Seated." A veteran of nightclub and concert tours in the U.
