C., which will begin on Monday and end Tuesday. Seven golfers from each ACC team will compete in the 36-hole event, which will be decided by the five lowest scores from each school. Medalist honors will also be pre sented to the tournament's lowest scorer. The Gamecocks, who finished the season with a 10-6 record, have not seen any match competition since their May 1 encounter with Presby terian. "I don't think the lay-off will have any ill effects," stated coach Jimmy Pulliam. "If anything, I think it will be a big help, since it has allowed the boys plenty of time to practice." When asked about the chances of the team in the upcoming tour nament, Pulliam had this to say: "Wake Forest has to be considered the team to beat in the tournament, with I)uke, UNC and us not far behind. Because of our past per formances and the way the boys have been playing lately, I think we will make a real good showing." Although it is agreed on that Wake Forest will be the team to beat, the Deamon Deacons will be missing one of their better golfers. Jack Lewis will not be on hand for the tournament since he will be competing in England. "I think the loss of Lewis will hurt Wake a little, but because of their depth, his absence will be hardly noticeable," explained Pul PTON HOTEL e SHOP IRCUTS $1.50 nts Welcome RALI TER SHAVE & COLOGNE AFTER SHAVE from $2.50 COLOGNE from $3.00 SWANK inc.--Sote Distributor lents d drivers... parents SAFECO.
