Parti Keep CIII OMEGA Chi O's entert-ained Carolina so rority and fraternity pledges at a drop-in Thursday. CIII PSI Six Chi Psi pledges were acti vated Oct. 21. They are Ra Broad dus, Dwight Dana, Craig Gulick, Dick Nystrom, Brian Shealy, and Phil Truluck. An activation ban quet was held at the Forum Res taurant at Senate Plaza. Barry Long, Warren Luhn, Everett Presson, and Steve Schuitz were activated earlier this fall during the Chi Psi national convention on the USC campus. C. - MaIrmL At USC To Nine PINS The 15 members of Alpha Epsi lon Phi Colony will wear the green and white, triangle-shaped colony pin. The pledge pin of the sorority is made of Ionic columns and the (,fficial a c t i v e pin displays the three Greek letters of A, E, Phi in pearls on a g3ld bar. Alpha Epsilon Phi was founded Oct. 24, 1909, at Barnard College in New York City. The sorority colors are green and white, and the flower is the lily -of the valley. The nearest chapter of AEPhi is at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Another colony has re cently been formed at Iowa State University. National headquarters of Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority are in Pitts burgh, Pennsylvania. There are 55 national chapters. DEAN'S COMMENT Dean of Women Elizabeth M. Clothworthy welcomed the new so rority saying, "We are pleased that .he national sorority Alpha Epsi lon Phi now has a colony on our ampus. We look forward to the re-activation of the chapter."
