Promising students a taste < barbecue and a taste of politic the event attracted more the 3,000 people. The YD-sponsore program featured speeches by fiN m a j o r Democratic candidate: Robert McNair, Bradley Morral Ernest F. Hollings, John Wes and Cyril Busbee. Snuffy Jenkins and the Hire Hands entertained the crowd wit country music and jokes. TI Swinging Coachmen, a combo < Columbia H i g h School boy played rock and roll music. The menu consisted of barb cue, rice, cole slaw, artichoke re 3 ish, bread, and lemonade. Catere i by John Bagnal, the food co: t $3,605. Mr. Bagnal served ov( - two tons of barbecue.
