Service Fi Initiates 1A By DANNY CAPELL Staff Writer Alpha Phi Omega (APO) serv ice f r a t e r n i t y, completed its pledge program at ceremonies in Rutledge Chapel last Friday., Some 20 pledges were received into the fraternity at final pledge ceremonies. New members were chosen on the basis of a 2.0 or above GPR and on various service projects in which they participated. Each pledge must spend one hour weekly in the infirmary as sisting the infirmary staff to earn a portion of the merit points re quired for activation. SEMESTER PROJECTS APO also announced this week its service project plans for fall semester. One of the activities for which the fraternity is responsible is the construction of the Homecoming Queen's float, presently being built at Gibbes Machinery Com pany. Some of the funds for construe tion were donated by Student Union. The remaining costs will be borne by APO. The chapter has scheduled a car wash at the Jet Auto Wash on Devine Street Oct. 2).
