Soror Formal sorority rush ended Sept. 29 as 164 girls accepted bids to the eight Carolina sororities. 290 girls registered for formal rush and quota was set at 26 for each group. The new Carolina sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, pledged 12 girls who will be charter members of that sorority. Panhellenic Council President Donna Below commented, "Rush went very smoothly. Liz Farmer (Panhellenic rush chairman) and I were very pleased with the co operation of the sororities and Panhellenic members.
