Sigma Nu Cops Title By MALCOLM FRANK Wednesday, Sigma Nu defeated independent champions Zone 18 to win the Campus Football Cham pionship. The score was 7-2. The Finals in the Fraternity bowling league took place on Monday, end ing fraternity sports for this se mester. The top four teams in bowling are the only ones awarded points toward the All Sports Tro phy, and are the only ones listed here. Sigma Phi Epsilon won with 2,276 pins. Two pins behind them, Phi Kappa Sigma placed second with 2,274. Kappa Alpha was third with 2,202, and Sigma Nu, by only two pins, edged out Pi Kappa Alpha for fourth. Gamecock signees hail from four states-South Carolina, Geor gia, Florida and Tennessee, with eight of the first 15 prospects signed hailing from South Caro lina. Two are from Tennessee, one from Florida and four from Geor gia. The all-state tackle is 6-3, 210 pound John Buhl from Kingsport, Tenn. Also from Tennessee is end Jim Smith, 6-1, 200, of Church Hill, home town of Phil Branson, starting fullback on this year's South Carolina team and the late Mike Johnson, former star center.
