Rip Pope had the low round for the Gamecocks with 71. The Rip per started his round with three blazing birdies on the first three holes and continued three under par until disaster struck on the 17th and 18th where he took bogies on both holes. Eddie Brown, playing number one position for the Gamecocks, had an even par 72. Brown played his usual scrambling type of golf which eli is known for. Ile ran a 20-foot putt on number 16I an(d followed with a birdie on 17. IHowever, his charge fell short when his playing partner. Kellam, almost put his tee shot in the hole on the short par 3 finishing hole. Belton McCarty and Donnie I Phillips followed with two over par 74's.
