Winter F During 11 BY SUSAN HUNTER Staff Writer Winter fashion has leaned so toward the ski look this year. And, the fair young lassies of Carolina, fashionable lot that they are, have fudged a little and worn their ski gear in mild weather. The weekend brought the see ond valid opportunity this year for the lucky girls to clad them selves in their warm winter fash ions. Almost with the first snow flake, there was a mad dash to closets to break out stylish snow wear. The lucky slim and trim donned th,:ir ski pants for snow battles in style. Some decked out in culottes or kilts. Some zipped themselves into plaid parkas and tied the hoods. Others found the right fashion look in jerseys with cute turtle necks. Some booted themselves over socks; others were glad for the leg-length warmth of knit stockings. With a host of boot styles to choose from this season the week end was no foot problem. Caro lina coeds put their best foot for ward in knee-length boots, calf length boots and some in ankle length boots. Some fashionable misses wore fur-lined boots. Oh. so warm! Other girls who like their fur to show stepped out in fur-trimmed boots. A quick flip of a bright muf fler to show off their rosy com plexion, and into their warm jac kets the girls were anxious to build a snowman. For the unhooded gals fashion provided just the thing and this week-end the Mad Hatters went really mad. Some wore cute to boggan hats with plom-poms oil top.
