Werner, senior in mechanical enginee ing, chose Carolina on a promi: of an assistantship in h major. This assistantship is high honor for Werner, f< such positions are not usual offered to undergraduates. Werner entered Carolina year and a half ago as a tran fer student. He had alreat received a degree in mechanic engineering, for he graduate from the Technologisch Jewerbe-Museum at 19. Aft Carolina, Werner plans to go MIT or Rensselaer Polytechn Institute for further study. Werner met and married h wife, an American teacher, Austria. As an immigrant, I is not certain in what part < the country he will settle aft4 completing his studies, but I does like South Carolina. Werner's favorite sport skiing, for his native country known for its ski resorts. Foo ball interests him as a spect; tor, and he is an avid Gameco fan; he attended every hon game in the past season.
