Folk Music festival is being planned in Johnsonville, S. C. The directors of this festival vill select a limited number of imateur folksingers or folksinging croups to perform on this pro Tram, to be held in April, this year, the exact date to be an nounced later. Realizing that there are a great many talented folksingers in our itate, and that the festivals at New Port, A s h e v i l 1 e, etc., are ?xtremely difficult for the ama teur to "crack," this festival will provide the amateur an opportun ity to perform his talents before a large audience. It is reasonable to assume that these performers will be given wide publicity. Performers selected will be the -*uests of the Johnsonville Junior Chamber of Commerce for the eve ning meal on the night of the pro ,,ram, where there will be a short meeting of performers for the purpose of becoming acquainted and "talking shop."
