Alpha Delta Pi Banquet News Alpha Delta Pi honored alumnae and local founders with a tea to celebrate ihe sorority's 35th year on campus, Sunday, February 17. Peta Epsilon chapter of Alpha Delta Pi was installed during Feb. 14th-18th in 1928' Miss Irene Dil lard (later Mrs. Irene D). Elliott) was D)ean of Women and a member of the "Searahean Club" from which Alpha D)elta Pi was organized. Miss D)illard was then instrumental in bringing ADiPi to the University campus to become the secondl so rority only by an hour to be estab lished here. Alpha Delta Pi was begun origin ally as the "Adelphean Society" in 1851 at Wesleyan College in Macon, Geor'gia, and has the distinction of being known as the oldest secret so ciety for women. The national so rority celebrated its 100th anniver ary in 1951.
