Dear Madame Society Editor, By the definition of your job in last week's "Gamecock," I can only infer that it takes no imagina tion to write your social column just a big red pencil. After carefully studying your list of names (reminds me of a phone book), one can readily see that you have the absolute power to make or break the social stand ing of any individual or group; you tell your readers who is "in," who is "out" and who knows how to have a good time. The gentleman (?) who penned that nasty letter realized your ter rible power when you made him an outcast by your rude omission. Maybe you think he didn't "kick it out" in the best of Carolina spirit the previous week? Or maybe it was time for him to be out any way? I often bemoan my lowly state caused by your vicious red pencil, but I still read your trash for want of better literature. With great pain and courage I place my name on this document in hopes that this ease of social injustice will be pleaded to my peers.
