Graduating cum laude from Georgetown University in 1935 with a BA degree, Father Doyle also received the Military Award given to an outstanding ROTC graduate. He was a member of the basketball, baseball and rifle teams. lie is a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, Blue Key and Kappa Delta Pi, national honor societies. Instead of a president at the University of South Carolina in 1865, new laws for the institution called for a "chairman of the fac ulty," the position held by Maxi milian LaBorde since 1861. Robert W.
