It is: Should students be compelled to attend classes or should the right of voluntary attendance be granted to us? Bob Vetrecin: "I think a student should be com pelled to attend classes. We are here to get an education. not to take a vacation." Joe Guild: "I think it's a good idea to have unlimited cuts. It- gives a student a feeling of independence." She graduated from Erskine College, but when asked what her major was, she replied, "I don't remem hor what I majored in. Isn't that ridiculous? I do recall that it wa. s.mething connected with history and English!" Mrs. Ball took some library science courses at Peabody College in Nashville, Tennessee, which prepared her for her work as a librarian at Hand Junior High School in Columbia. She lived in Raleigh, North Carolina, immediately prior to coming here to Carolina as a housemother. Mrs. Ball is a mem her of the Centennial Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. She named sewing as her chiel diversion. Mrs. Ball is an experiencel hostess with a year's work at. Sims and four years at McClintock he hind her. She summed up her career as a hostess with the following com ment. "I thoroughly enjoy my work, especially since I deal mainly with f r e sh m in a n girl-. They're so friendly and have a contagious enthusiasm becaus'. everything is so new and exciting to them!"
