Dr. Tbor Redo, research pro
fessor at Ohio State University,
will deliver a series of three lec
tures May 19-20 at the University
under the joint sponsorship of the
University department of mathe
marbics, Nationaa Science Floumnda
tion and Mathematical A*odation
of America.
Dr. Redo, an internationally
known nathematician, is one of
the 1959-60 visiting lecturers of
the Mathemabical Association of
America. He is the author of four
books and more than 100 research
articles.
Dr. Rado earned his doctorate
at the University of Szeged in
Hungary.
The lecture topics are:
"Mathematical Measurements,"

1959-60 debate year with a sweep
ing victory of the Atlantic Coast
Conference Debate Tournament at
Winston-Salem last weekend.
Debating the negative side of
the national question, Sam Freed
and Eddie Roberts won the tourna
ment for Carolina.
Novice debate saw t h e team
of Jimmy Wann and Ed Hendrick
son capture the first position over
Duke, Maryland, and Wake Forest.
This team was arguing the affirm
ative point.
