At the meeting the members
will prepare a proposal to present
to the board of directors of the
Educational Foundation at their
meeting on November 21. The pro
posal will be the nomination of a
professor to be endowed at that
time. The endowed professor will
not only receive his regular salary
but also a supplement for his en
dowment to a chair.
Many schools use this method
to gain outstanding professors.
This is the first attempt Carolina
has made in that direction. The
Educational Foundation also hopes
to attain three other objectives
during 1959-1960 through the
$5.00 or more contributions made
by members of the Alumni Asso
eiation or Education Foundation.
These three objectives are as
follows: (1) The establishment of
a Master of Business Administra
tion Degree at the University by
providing funds for financing this
program to achieve fellowships
for deserving students, research,
(course material, and lectures and
