Fittings for University blazers will take place Oct. 28 and 29, the Monday and Tuesday after State Fair holidays, according to Don Richardson, chairman of the Stu dent Council committee on blazers. Blazer fittings for men will be conducted in room 206 of Russell House from 10 a.m. to 4:80 p.m. both days. Fittings for women will be conducted in room 204 at the same times by representatives of the blazer company, Richardson said. At the time of fittings, a ten dollar deposit must be paid with the balance due upon delivery in about six weeks. Approximate cost of olazers for men is $31.95; women's charcoal blazers is $22.95 and women's white blazers, $24.95. The Putsinger Company has agreed to place three initials on each blazer free. Misfittings and misspellings on blazers from last year will be corrected at company expense, Richardson reported. The Council Committee on Bla zers announced that on Oct. 27 8,000 letters will be sent to stu dents to inform them of the oppor tunity to buy blazers. In further business, council was informed that the future of the Stan Kenton concert was in doubt because a suitable location for the concert has not been found. Dreher Auditorium, first choice of the committee is not available the night of Nov. 7; nor is Town ship Auditorium. The committee is looking into further possibili ties. After meeting with Postmaster Joe Lawrence, Fred Wigfield re ported that nothing could be done about the post office situation this semester. Wigfield said that fur ther discussions will be held dur ing the Christmas holidays with Lawrence and they hoped thatoby doubling up in post office boxes, to be able to let all University NATIONAL RECOGI Epsilon Ld For Tau I Epsilon Lambda Sigma, honor ary engineering society, was se lected for membership in Tau Beta P1 Association, national en gineering honor society, at the 4au Beta Pi national convention o'hld Oct. 9-18 at the University of Wisconsin and Marquette Uni versity, according to Dean Robert L. Sumwalt of the Engineering School. Dr. Thomas H. Wilson, faculty advisor for ELS, and Marty Stork, president of ELS, attended the national convention at which the petition for membership was presented. The University chapter will be known as South Carolina Beta. S. C. Alpha is at Clemson College. Installation Installation of the new chapter and initiation of members will be held Jan. 11 on the University campus. National officers and rep resentatives from neighboring chapters will be invited for the occasion, Dr. Wilson said. Doctor Wilson also pointed out that all active and alumni mem bers of ELS are eligible for mem Sbership in Tau Beta P1 and he urges all ELS alumni to contact him immediately for further in formation. It is necessary that all fees and dues be paid prior to in itiation and that members be in itiated in person. There are 22 stu dent and about 200 alumni mem bers of ELS.
