Candidate Richard Mims was called out of town unex pectedly and had not returned at press time. Farrell Teague, campaign manager, answered questions concerning Mims' can didacy.) "It is my belief that Richard's main motive in running for pres ident of the student body is to help, with the cooperation of Stu dent Council and all students, make Carolina an organized group which is respected by the admin istration as well as the students," said Teague. Mims is president of Pi Kappa Phi social fraternity, and has served as vice-president twice. He is a member of Carolina Cotillion Club, member of German Club, actively participates in intramural sports, on Honor Board, vice-pres ident of Carolina Veterans Asso ciation and has been student as " ' sistant employed at Russell House since its opening in 1955. Full cooperation is essential for a suc cessful year in student govern ment. The first move toward this goal is to exercise your right to vote and to base your selection on careful thought and sound judg ment. The election of a Student Body president should not be con sidered a routine affair. It should be considered an obligation, as well as a privilege.
