The Rev. J. R. Brokhoff, pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Charlotte, N. C., has taken an active interest in the use of radio as a medium for religious mes sages. He has been secretary of the board of trustees of the Protestant Radio Center and chair man of the Lutheran Radio Hour Committee. Mr. Brokhoff holds degrees from Muhlenberg, Mt. Airy Lutheran Seminary and the University of Pennsylvania. The pastor of First Baptist Church in Lumberton, N. C., the Rev. D. Swan Haworth, has travelled widely and has done archaeological work in Palestine and Europe. He has held pastor ates in Louisville, Ky., and Vicks burg, Miss. He holds degrees from Wake Forest and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. From St. Paul's Methodist Church in Orangeburg will come the Rev. E. S. Jones, a graduate of Wofford College. Mr. Jones is review editor of the South Caro lina Methodist Advocate. An active leader in college reli gious work is the Rev. Jan W. Owen, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church of Charlottes ville, Va. Mr. Owen has been minister to students at Rice Insti tute, Houston University, Wash ington and Lee University and Virginia Military Institute. He has been president of Presbyterian Student Workers and has served four years on the University Christian Missions Committee of the National Council of Churches. A marine combat veteran of the Pacific, the Rev. Harcourt E. Waller, Jr., is Episcopal chaplain at Florida State University. Mr. Waller has been assistant pastor in Alexandria, Va., and pastor at Bainbridge, Ga.
