SEEN UNDER THE UMBRELLAS (at the game): FRANK OATES with MARCIA DUGAN; DON JOHN STON, JAY JOHNSTON, and RAY MOORE. NANCY WELLS with ENSIGN BILL McSWAIN; BILL HAWLEY with MASON EDENS; LOUISE BRADLEY with HENRY DORN; TERRY DAVIS with BILL DOAR; JERRY CUN NINGHAM with "SUNNY" FOSTER. Also, PEGGY HUNT INGTON with JOE DeLUCA; JACKIE SALLENGER with MURPHY LEMMON; LEGARE COKER with WARREN GRIFFIN; and many others. AFTER THE BALL GAME WAS OVER: The Sigma Chi's rallied from the rain and results of the Navy game to party Saturday night at the American Legion. She will be chosen from a group of seven girls representing each of the sororities and will be crowned at the Lambda Chi's Parisian October 13, at the Columbia Country Club. The choosing of the "Crescent Girl" is practiced in many Lambda Chi chapters throughout the United States. This is the first time the local chapter has chosen a "Cres cent Girl." The winner will receive the tra ditional white gold "Crescent Girl Pin," and will have a large framed picture placed in the chapter room. She wvill be escorted to all the Lambda Chi functions to be held this year. Newspaper articles and pictures will appear in the State and local papers, national fratern Ity and sorority magazines, and the girl's home-town paper. The seven contestants will be en tertained at a drop-in to be given this Sunday; they will have their pictures taken and displayed in the local house; will be escorted to all functions of Lambda Chi up until, and including, the Parisian Party; and receive consolation gifts if they lose. The drop-in will help) to acquaint the judges and members of the fraternity with the contestants. Heading the com mittee for the contest this year are Harry C'hapmnan and Jack Morton.
