Si.nee the new Atlantic Coast Conference has been formed, En right can legally claim that he is qualified to be dean since he has served as head mentor at the university longer than any other in the school's history. During his years at Carolina, this head coach has had a very good iecord, not only with the staunch rival Clemson teams, but also his all-time opponents. Such major teams as Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Duke, Virginia, Villanova, Miami, Tulsa, West Virginia, Kansas State, Marquette, and many others have fallen the victim of his well coached teams. Coach Enright, as the athletic director of the school, has deve loped an excellent, well-rounded program of athletic events here at the university. Enright, sheep skin in hand, signed a professional ' football contract with the bes-t team of his day before aecepting an offeir to become assistant coach at North Carolina. Enright was the president of the Southern Conference Athletic Di rectors Association before the University. along with six other school, seceded from the confer ence and formed the new Atlantic Coast Conference. He has also held the position of president of the coaches association, along with being on the basketball, football, and boxing committees of the Southern Conference. Knute Rockne, the famous mas ter coach of the never-to-be forgotten teams at Notre Dame, had to be persuaded quite ardently before consenting to give Enright an athletic scholarship. However, this head master never regretted for one moment having done so. Enright went on to be named to All-lidwestern teams. Enright spent a large portion of his time on the bench the first (ouple of years, having entered the scene at the time of the famed "Four Horsemen." How ever, when he did get to play after the graduations of the All Americans, he was widely public ized.
