Off to Chapel Hill for the game were, in addition to the football team, Alpha Delta Pis: Suzanne Lewis, Anne McLean, Jackie Ricks, Ruby Lee Ward, Jane Rutland, B. J. McLean and Marvis Keels. Pi Kappa Phis: Karl Smith, Joe Pittman, "Sugar" Chiles, Doodle Munn, Burt Bennett, T. D. Truluck and John D. Long, the third. Kappa Deltas: Chic Martin, Helen Coggeshall, Ned Gilmore, and Barbara Gramling. And the Signa Nus: Paul Field, Frank Nelson, Mickey Marshall, Charlie Bones, Henry Dorn, Stuart Preston, Don Donovon, Bob Smith, Bobby Pruit, Carl Putnam, Bob Pitts and John Smith. ZTAs: Marlene Rast, Betty Pope, Jean Geiger, and Mary Long; SAE's: Joe Pearce, Robert Bland, Rem Parler, and Richard Monckton. Then there are the 40 Sigma Chis and their guests. They were entertained royally by their "yankee" brothers. Independents seen cheering for the big team were Jerry Webb, Laura Sausserman, Mary Stuart McKee, Pinkie Lynch, and Betty Lindau. Just normal proceedings of the week went as usual. The Sigma Nu's are planning a house party in the moun tains during the Carolina-Clemson holidays. I'm gonna shoot myself for being so stupid. I plumb forgot that there is a long list here of the Delta Zetas who travelled north for the weekend. List includes: Katie Conway, Ellen Conner, Betty Parker, Liz Stevens and "Wimpy" and Dave West. Having drop-ins come Sunday will be the ADPi in honor of their new initiates JACKIE RICKS and HARRIET TINS LEY. Congratulations, it is nice to be an active. The Tri Delts are honoring the football team with their drop-in, also Sunday. Take time out now to wish MARY BLOODWORTH, Pi Beta Phi, a speedy recovery. Mary is not feeling well yet, still recovering from an appendectomy. Founder's Day of the Delta Zeta sorority will be October 24. Their alumns are giving a tea to celebrate it the 21st at 3715 Coleman St. Congratulations are in order to the Pi Kappa Phi fra ternity. They recently pledged BOB DUPiR, of Walhalla, KEITH KINARD of Walterboro, and BOOCO BOTTLE of Spartanburg. REES NOREN now proudly wears the pin of a Phi Kappa Sigma; to you, too. Everybody is doing it. BOB THAMES, JOE McJUNKIN, BILLY LOMAS, and "PIG" SMITH were recently initiated into Lambda Chi Alpha. These people from Florida do have to be different. While everyone went to N. C., EDDIE SHINHOLSER, Phi Kap from Tampa, went to Tallahassee for his girl's birthday. Looks like it is never too cold for a houseparty. Last week end Tri Delts and dates journeyed to Poinsetto. In the "just visiting" department we have news of VER NON EPPS, Phi Kap alum; also, BECKY LYNCH. This is the kind of information I like: "On October 17 the American Society of Chemical Engineers had a party. MILES ROBERTS is president." Just kidding, Chuch, thanks for the info. Phi Sig's went to Chapel Hill, too. That is,-all but TOMMY' TALLEY. He wvent to Atlanta to see the Georgia-Maryland game. Proving that the weekend is the best time to visit the beach, JEANETTE BEISLEY, Chi 0, and BUDDY CRAIG, Clemson graduate, JACKIE STUKES, ZTA, and WILTON FOWLDER, SAE alum from Furman, journeyed to Folly last weekend. Jeanette's mother and father went too. That TOMMY TALLEY is a talented fellow. Not only did he go to Atlanta last weekend, but he and PAUL BEATY went to Winthrop College. Please, tell me how. JIM McWHITE, Pi Kappa Alpha, and JIM SHILLING LAW were at Coker last weekend. There was a dance and they were cutting a mean rug. (That's quoted.) BUDDY DERRICK, SAE, has lpinned JUNE NIGGEL, KD. A few of the SAE's and dates had a get-together last weekend. Some of those who were present were ED PASKY and CORNELIA SCHULTZ, KD; MAC FAIRLEY and B. J. BLACK WELL, KD; and BUDDY DERRICK and JUNE NIGGEL, KD. Lee's Lieutenants charged northward this past weekend for the game. KA's and their dates involved were EDDIE STUBBS with COONIE WATERS, CLISE FLOYD with JEAN RICKARD, TERRELL GLENN, and DAVID CRUM with SUZZANNE LEWIS, ADPi. Others were LOUIS HOWELL, FRED JUMPER (alum), JIMMY MOORE, JOE BERRY, JOHNNY THORNE, MARION BROWN (now in the Air Force), NUDGE YAGER, BUDD)Y RICHARDSON (alum), and BUD SHERILL (alum). The NC KA's enter tained royally with a party after the game. Everyone came back happy though a bit remorseful over the game. Pi Phi is having a drop-in Sunday from 7:30 until 9.
