Three Students Represent USC In Art Exhibit Prof. Edmund Yaghjian, head of the fine arts department of the university, disclosed yesterday that the department is represented in an exhibit at the University of Mississippi with the sketches of three of the students. The three students represented are Virginia Sandy Dowdle, Co lumbia; Dorothy Karall, Columbia; and Jesse R. Bardin, Elloree. The sketches are of local scenes done in pen and ink and pencil. The exhibit is representing the work of 50 schools throughout the South, and will he shown through April 22. They will spend the iext two weeks in Italy visiting Milan, Venice, Florence, Perugia, Rome, and Nice. After five days in Paris, the group will sail from herbourg on the Queen Elizabeth mn Aug. 22. Mrs. Sweeny, who has been per 4unally conducting these tours ince before World War I, plans Lo include excursions by motor and bus for sightseeing trips. Her roup will be traveling first class and living in first class hotels. Mrs. Sweeny's tour is sponsored by Brownell, but she has exclusive rights for choosing her own group. Mrs. Sweeny and her group, made up mostly of students of South Carolina, will land in Eng land on July 19. They will arrive in Edinburgh, Scotland, on July 24 for a three-day visit. Cotton Oil Firm Seeks Engineer The Buckeye Cotton Oil Co. will interview electrical, mechanical, civil, and chemical engineering graduates desiring jobs Monday, the Placement Bureau announced.
