Sick Kitten Is 'Treated' By Staff An anxious group huddled in a corner of the Gamecock office last week. The object of their attention and sympathy was a mute, limp kitten. Speculation arose as to the cause of his weak condition. Explana tions were given ranging from poison to hunger. If the reason was the latter, then the kitty didn't behave in the proper fashion, for he rejected the food offered to him. A lighter was used as a stove, and a bottle top as a saucer; an eyedropper carried warm milk down his throat. He revived for a few minutes, then lapsed back into his stupor. A bright idea was conceived when someone remembered the re juvenating powers of whiskey. From nowhere, no questions were asked, a jigger of the potent stuff appeared. The kitten began to look alive; his eyes brightened, and he made a few feeble attempts to move. Little kitty attended his first sorority meeting that night when he was wrapped up in an old dress for warmth and watched over care fully by one of the members of the staff who had to go to her chapter room. A little later circumstances de manded that a bath be given to the tiny animal. He was unwrapped from the dirty folds of the dress and laid down gently.
