Dela D4 WorWshpWPhnd For Sorority Use Saturday, Dec. 17 The Pan-Hellenic workshop will be held in Drayton Hall next Sat urday, Dec. 17, from 1 p. m. until 6 p. m., Irene Herty, chairman, has announced. Dot Coe Iq chairman of the luncheon that will be held in the Alpha Epsilon Pi and Zeta Tau Alpha sorority rooms imme diately preceding the workshop. Sororities are asked to stress to their members the importance of attending the workshop, which will help to solve sorority problems and will bring up questions in the minds of each group's members. The discussions and panels will be held in several of the smaller rooms in Drayton Hall, the chair man announced. Alumni members of the panel discussions will be: Miss Toni Childs, Alpha Delta Pi; Mrs. Har riet Zalkin, Alpha Epsilon Pi; Mrs. Betty Foran, Chi Omega; Mrs. De Lacy Lind, Kappa Delta; Mrs. Martha Helms, Zeta Tau Alpha; and Miss Doris Nash, Pi Beta Phi. Alumni who will take part in the discussions will be: Mrs. Margaret Eleazer Pitts, Zeta Tau Alpha; Miss Jean Tracey, Delta Zeta; Miss Jane Brooks Marshall, Kappa Delta; Mrs. Florence Lewis, Alpha Epsilon Pi; Miss Betty Payne, Delta Delta Delta; and Miss Jessie Lewis, Delta Delta Delta. The principal speaker will be Miss Mary Merritt, who is the na tional representative from Phi Mu sorority to the National Pan-Hel jenic Council. Miss Merritt is chairman of the Florida Merit Syn tem, a member of the board of trustees at Brenau College, _and dean of women at the University of Miami. The workshop is being sponsored by members, both actives and alumni, from each of the eight a tional sororities on the campus, the chairman announced. Ann Mood is in charge of the programs. Each guest will be requested to bring a toy as a gift for children at one of the local orphan homes. The club is also making plans for a formal spring dance. The recently-activated club has admitted USC students f r o m Darlington and Marion counties as well Ss from Florence. Dance Biennial Wint To Be Held I ,Of Jefferson Alpha Lambda chapter of Delta Delta Delta'sorority will hold its biennial winter formal dance in the ballroom of the Jefferson Hotel tonight from 9 p. m. until 1 a. m. Woody Woodward and his or chestra will play. The ballroom will be decorated in the sorority's colors of silver, gold, and blue, with a crescent and stars over an arch, under which Tri-Delts and their dates will pass during the grand march.
