The musical notes must be separated from the car horns on the street behind, and the sounds of the laundry next door. The building, despite its apparent spaciousness, has had a long his tory, having served as the laun dry among other things. This is the eye-catching scene on the back campus. As the pho tograph shows the university has a well appointed crop of pipes and so forth on the lawn. The ele ments also are kind to this plot of ground, it being exposed to wind, water and corrosion, the re suit of not enough warehouse space. The foundations of Tenement 15 are vienerab)e, but unfortu nately time itself cannot hold the bricks in the walls. The interior is occupied by the home of those genial Southern gentlemen, the Kappa Alphas, who entertain their brethren from other institu tions behind this imposing struc ture. It makes a fine impression. Another example of the dream houses in which Carolina students reside. Esquire has never heard of this and the students living here hope their grandchildren never do.
