Dean Arney Childs will mak an opening talk to prospectiv rushes in the chapel. At this tim each sorority will present an e:N planation of its organization. Oc tober 4, rushees will register an pay fee of $2.00 in Maxcy lobb from 9:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. nT The first tea will be given o: October 5 in Sims Lobby fror 5:00 p. m. to 7:00 p. m. Each rushee will attend seve: routine drop-ins beginning on Oc tober 7 and continuing througl 10. There will be no rushin over the week-end. Preferentia parties will be conducted Mon day, October 13, through Wed nesday, October 15. All rushees must abide by thi Pan Hellenic Rushing rules. At infringement of these rules wil cause the rushees being droppe< from the rush parties. The Rusl week rules as announced by Par Hellenic are: 1.' Sorority girls and rushee: shall not converse (except foi greetings) or associate in any manner (excluding rush parties) unless at' least two sororities are represented. 2. Rushees shall not go on par ties given by a sorority or parl of a sorority (alumnae included) between the beginning of school and rush week. This means coke parties, taking a girl to the mo Newman Club Gives Supper And Dance In New Members Honor The Newman Club, an organi zation of Catholic students attend ing colleges and universities, held its first meeting of the year at the Knights of Columbus Hall last Thursday night from 7:30 until 12 -1:60 p. m. After a delightful supper, the members were entertained by a comic radio show, which was pre sented to them by several old members of the club. This was followed by dancing, group sing ing, and bridge games. Contrary to the past few years, the club will meet on campus this year, at '7:30 p. m. each Tuesday night. This year's Newman Club is under the direction of Rev. Father Suggs, formerly of St. Mary's Church in Georgetown, now as sistant pastor of St. Peter's Chrch here.
