The Inkybaiter
After six months in the rock Hot Henrietfa and her erst
while companion, Que Stick McQue decided to matriculate
at the U.S.C. again. She and Que Stick had passed out in
sacks on Pawley's Island in the latter part of the summer
and were mailed in by officers of the State Board of Health
who had mistaken them for sacks of fishmeal. They were
not discovered until a house party of QA's broke in during
Christmas holidays looking for Eva's. After five hours argu.
ment with the QA's they finally proved their identity and
returned to their Alma Mater.
The CminusCminusCminuses, who had long mourned ovei
their lost sister were jubilated. They immediately decidet
upon a full week of rejoicing, and it being 10 o'clock at the
time, they sidpatched six pledges to John's for gin (the3
gave up whiskey for Lent). The pledges were appalled. A
sign on the door said "Be back in six months, Truman calls!'
They returned downhearted and sober to the sorority roon
where they all fell into mournful consultation. A decisioi
was reached and they called upon the Bosom Buddies ASEs
With a noble effort, six cases of whiskey and three packs o:
reefers were produced. In such an emergency, the Gran(
Council said it would be all right to drink whiskey and th<
party proceeded.
They left for the Blue Moon Tuesday night and ended ui
in the Palmetto Club Saturday when the Catastrophe struck
Hot Henrietta and the girls were whooping it up in a corne:
booth when in walked Flukie the Flask, to- whom she wa
pinned. As Flukie had not heard from H. H. in 6 months, h<
naturally assumed her to be mad with him so he was wit]
his new girl, Lumpy Curves, a devastating Phi Pi H. H. wa
furious. She spealed forth a line of profanity that woul4
have done a Converse Girl justice. F. F. listened uncon
cernedly and said in a gentlemanly manner, "What are yoi
doing here, you old bat?" At this H. H. got maudlin anm
Flukie got drunk. After an hour or two Hot Henriett.
straightened up, took another drink and mourned, "Aftel
having loved you and cared for you all this time this i
how you treat me!'
"Ah, Go to Bed," said Flukie. At this Hot Henrietta flei
into his arms. "You do love me. I knew it." Happily the rF
united lovers sauntered out to view the moon and the rF
joicing girls ,killed another fifth in honor of the gloriou
occasion.
