Library Has Increased " The circulation of books among the students has increased greatly over last year," Dr. John Van Male, librarian of the McKissick Library. University of S. C., announced re cent ly. "Each student uses one-half again as many books as he did last year," Dr. Van Male explained, stating that this increase could be at tribuled partly to the Blue Star coiiection of books, those bought from student fines an(d gift books. Another reason for the increase in circulation, he explained, was that more professors are requiring parallel reading this semester, and Increased enrollment. These books have been added to the Blue Star collection: A. Leffing. well, "Death Against Venus;" W. L. Stuart, "The Dead Lie Still"; G. Butler' 'Kiss the Blood Off My Hands"; and J. Wasserman, "Kerk hoven's Third Existence." D. H. Montgomery's "The Leading Facts of English listory," a gift of Dr. Reed Smith. and B. J. Ilend rick's "Statesmen of the Lost Cause," a gift of J. C.
