Shot down over France, Lieutenant Disbro returned to the American lines 10 days later. After five months' hospitalization, lie rejoined his unit, and vas promoted to the rank of first lieutenant Jan. 31. lie wears the Purple Heart medal, and is a member of the Caterpillar Club, composed of fliers who have been forced to bail out.
