Winners Eighteen General S Selected From 70 C One Of Group Will Win Phi Beta Kappa Award General scholarship contest winner in the High School week competi tion were listed today by the person nel bureau. Of the 70 participating 18 were chosen as winners in thq classification. Phi Beta Kappa awards each yeai to one of the winners a scholarshil to the University amounting to $10 per year. The winner of this schol arship will be drawn from the 18 and will be announced later. Winners in general scholarshil were: James Dallas, Columbia; Margare Edwards, Florence; Stanley B. Crawford Training As Reserve Ship Fitter Henry Gaillard Crawford, 30, son of Mrs. Ruth W. Crawford, 3121 Rosewood Drive, Columbia, South Carolina, who attended the Univer sity of South Carolina from 1930 to 1933 has enlisted in the U. S. Naval Reserve as a ship fitter, first class and is now undergoing recruit train ing at the U. S. Naval Training Station. Prior to his enlisting, he was a structural engineer.
