MEDALS GIVEN TO ORATORS (CONTINUED FROM PAGE ONE) In the business meeting before the contests the society passed without discussion and without a dissenting voice the amendnent introduced by Jack 'ayne which called for the an nouncement of any society election at least one week in advance. The adop tion of the amendment by the society made it illegal for any future "snap election" to take place. The amend ment had been introduced in reaction against the unannounced election of the society's representatives to the student board of publications several weeks ago. The society also passed to the third reading an amendment introduced by Bill Douglas. which provides that newlv reinstated ninber of the so ciety shall not be eligible to vote until two weeks after their reinstatement.
