University To Botb Plans Already Made Will Purchase Block Of Maxcy Gregg Park For Six Acre Arboretum A six acre ardoretum and botanical garden is now being planned for the University. The garden will be situated jtst south of the W\ oman's luilding, taking in a block of Maxcy Gregg Park and half the adjacent block. The land will be neatly landscaped and planted with native South Carolina plants, trees, shrubs, and herbs. Led by Captain Bernard James and their tall center, Guy Lipscomb, tile Birds managed to eke out a victory after trailing 11-10 at the half. Gooly, Indian center, led the New berry attack and his floorwork was re sponsible for the close score of the tilt. The feature of the game was a wrest ling match during the half between two Biddy grid stars, Makovic and Kelley. Both contestants are veterans and thev represented Carolina's new athletic policy of adding color and enthusiasm to all their athletics. -U. S. Cardwell Designs New Cover For Catalog A new cover for the University cata log, designed by Elizabeth Cardwell, was recently approved by the catalog com mittee, and will be used on the 1935-36 edition, according to 'Mr. Chase, who is chairman of the committee. It will have the University seal in the center of the page, with "University Of" above the seal and "South Carolina" under it. The design is in garnet on a grey background.
