A special S. A. E. no-break ' will be a feature of the dance. I Buster Spann and his Gamecocks ' will furnish the music. Sororities Plan 1 New Rush Rules Suggestions for a reorganization of rush-rules for sororities are to be 1 B handed in to a committee composed . B of Katherine Bush, Irene Chitty, and Betty Carlisle, it was decided at the ' last meeting of the Co-ed Pan-Hellenic council. The meeting was held at the , home of Ellen LaBorde. The suggestions made by the different sororities arc to be incorporated in the report of the committee, which is to be presented at the next meeting. Service Club Presents Program For Veterans The Carolina Christian Service club, with Catherine Cannon in charge, presented a program at the Confederate's home last Tuesday afternoon. The group sang several carols, after which Lodcma Gaines told an interesting Christmas story. Others who participated in the program were Sara Rector, James Lynch, and Arthur Welbourne. The chatter by girls concerns the new dresses that they expect to get; and the boys are talking of the good time they expect to have. Colonel McKissick believes that it would be much better if perfume were made to smell like good things to eat instead of flowers. We are wondering if someone will smell like chocolate cake at he German, instead of lavender. When we stop to think of it, food does smell more enticing than roses. Marriage Miss Dorothy Bomar, attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bomar, and C. Edwin Eadon, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Eadon, were, marked recently, in the presence of the immediate families. Both Miss Bomar ind Mr. Eadon arc from Manning. Miss Bomar attended Winthrop college, where she was a member of the Phi Sigma Delta club. Mr. Eadon attended the University, in I9:il and 19.'$2 where he was registered in the pre-medical school. At present they are living in Sumter where Mr. Eadon has a position with the Dunlop Tire Company. Initiation John Hussy and James Holman of Florence were initiated into Sigma Chi recently. Bonie Johnson was initiated into Phi Kappa Sigma. He came down here 311 his honeymoon. S. A. E. Formal Sigma Alpha Epsilon will give a formal dance tonight at Ridgewood. The Gamecocks will furnish the music which will begin at 10 and last until 2. Bids have been issued. * Debate The Hypatian and Euphrosynean Literary societies had a joint meeting Wednesday afternoon in the Euphradian hall. A debate was held which proved to be very comical. Resolved that: Santa Claus should reduce. The Hypatian representatives upheld the negative. No decision was made. It was decided by the judges that the children would decide for themselves. Non de Script Tea Dance Non de Script had a tea dance last Friday afternoon. It preceded the Damas. The Gamecocks furnished the music for the dance which was given at Ridgewood from 5 'till 7. K. A. Party Grayson Wolfe will dress up like Santa Claus at the Kappa Alpha Christmas party which will be given Wednesday night. It will be an informal affair. The boys in the chapter will present other boys with presents. Dates will also find presents on the tree which Santa left for them. Seems like Santa is coming awfully early this year. Sigma Nu The Sigma Nu's are planning an intermission party the night of the German. It will be held at the chapter house. Sigma Kappa Supper The Sigma Kappa pledges will give a Christmas supper and party for the actives tomorrow night at the chapter house. Following the supper, presents will be taken from the Christmas tree. Pan-Hellenic Dance Negotiations are being made to get Guy Lombardo for the l'an-Hcllenic formal. If these negotiations are successful, the dance will probably be on January II. Lombardo is supposed to make a tour of the South just after the holidays. Phi Kappa Sig Dance Phi Kappa Sigma will have a house dance Monday night at the chapter house. Punch, cakes and sandwiches will be served. Fifty are expected to attend. Installs Crisp At Meeting Wednesday Hill Crisp, University senior, was installed as president of the Carolina Christian Service club at its regular me eting last Wednesday night in Flinn hall, Crisp will take the place of Fred Fllis. After the adjournment of the club a party was held.
