' Increase In I Boxing Squad ' ' 27 Working On Fundamentals In Gym Daily From a Four To Six Twenty-seven boxers, one of (he largest squads in years, are taking daily workouts in the University gym from four to six each day under the able diI rection of Frankie DeMars, boxing t coach. Fred Craft, 181 -lb. varsity football end, is the latest addition to the growing squad of aspirants for the team. Several other members of the football team are expected out later in the season. a j Humphlett, captain; Hill, alternate captain; and Taylor arc three of last year's lettermen on the floor. Harry |t Hilton, 159, is one of last year's In. tramural champs taking workouts daily. Jack Fenncll, shifty light heavy, D. Brown, 202, D. L. Stoddard, 158, are other veterans signed up. Bryan Wale ton, 135, is back in the running after having been laid up at the beginning of last season because of injuries. More boxers are needed to fill the quota for the year, and Coach DeMars c urges anyone interested to turn out immediately. Drills in fundamentals are , held every afternoon in the gym. A hundred men out is the goal set for the c' squad this year.
