Damas Club Issues Bids Spring Dance Q-ive: To Be Danced Ne*t Friday Nigl At Gymnasium; Gamecocks To Play * m'|,c regular spring dancc of the Un versity Damas club will be danc< next Friday night, May 18, in the Un versity gymnasium from 9:30 unl 1:30. The Gamecocks will play. Bids arc now being issued and wi be distributed according to the rcgul; custom. Ml fraternities will reccr blanket bids and each member of tl Damas will be given a date bid ar two additional bids. Leading the grand march will 1 the president of the club, Miss Kat! eriue Bush, and her partner, Geor* Hart. She will be assisted by Mi Irene Chitty, the vice-president, at her partner, Charlie Lynn. The figure will be led by Mi Martha Tompkins, the senior leadc and Card well Zimmerman. She will 1 assisted by Miss Stuart Aycock, tl junior leader, and Joe Miot. Other officers of the club are Mi Lois Kirkley, secretary, and Mi Blanche Dubose, treasurer. The gymnasium will be dccorat< for the occasion by Susan Guignard. Bill Ouzts (Columbia), Graysc Wolfe (Charleston), and Dave Cob (Monroe, N. C.) all stars at the Un versity of S. C., have signed bascba contracts to play with Billy Laval Sandlappers of the Piedmont Leagu Wolfe and Ouzts are pitchers an Coble is a catcher.
