Frank Gibbes Named Editor (CONTINUED FROM PAGE ONE) Gibbes is a rising senior in the School of Commerce and is now serving his second term on the staff. Glenn is a rising senior in the School of Arts and Sciences. He has been assistant business manager of the publication for the past year. The race for the business managership was the only one in which there was a need for a run-off. IT. S. O. Joint Group Reports Cut (CONTINUED FROM PAGE ONE) The purpose of this 18 months bill is to adjust the fiscal year to the basis provided for by a recent constitutional amendment. In the future the fiscal year of the state will run from July 1 to July 1 instead from one calendar year to another as has been the case in the past. The original house bill provided for the total exclusion of co-cd under the rank of junior but this provision was later killed by the Senate. u. H. o. Abrams Heads Honor Society (CONTINUED FROM PAGE ONE) is restricted to those co-eds who arc leaders on the campus. A point system is used to judge those who have taken part in activities. Margaret Yeadon has been critic of the Euphrosynean Literary society, treasurer of Pi Beta Phi, vice-president of the Y. W. C. A., junior orator of the literary society, and a member of K. S. K. While at Winthrop College she was a member of the freshman Y. W. C. A. cabinet and took a major part in a play. Margaret Patrick is president of Delta Zeta formerly Pan-Hellenic representative and a minor officer of the sorority. She is treasurer of K. S. K., and a member of Damas, Euphrosynean Literary society, the University Symphony Orchestra, and the Y. W. C. A. cabinet and formerly a member of the freshman Y council and the freshman basketball team. Lucilla Mikell is assistant concert master and vice-president of the University Symphony Orchestra, has been student assistant in the violin department for the past three years. She gave her graduation recital in violin last year. She is marshal and historian of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Coles Heyward is president of the College League of Women Voters for this year and next year, vice-president of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She has been vice-president and president of the Y. W. C. A., assistant treasurer of Tri Delta and president of the freshmen of that sorority. Leah Zeigler is a member of K. S. K., the Euphrosynean Literary society, the Woman's Athletic Association, and the Ninety Nines (National Woman's Flying Club). She is manager of the baseball team and has played on the class hockey, basketball, baseball, track and fencing teams and is corresponding secretary of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Mary Lees Graham is president of Pi Beta Phi sorority and next year's president of Pan-Hellenic. She is a member of the Euphrosynean Literary society and K. S. K. and while at Converse College was a member of the Dramatic Club, the Y. W. C. A., and the Athletic Association. v. 8. o Leonard Williamson Is Given Reynolds Medal (CONTINUED FROM PAOE ONE) ?? Williamson is at present president of the student body and is a member of the student board of publications. He has also been a member of the debating team for several years.
