The Centennial Celebration, first presiden1 Juniors Beat Sophs by a Close Margin Although they do not score, no one can just say that the co-eds of the Un versity do not play doggedly at the game of hockey. On Monday afternoon, the Freshman Sophomore game was played off on the football practiee field to a tied score of 1-1. Tuesday afternoon the freshmen went up against the junior team, and after a hard, rough and tumble, the whistle blew before either team had scored a single point. The sophomores and juniors played off their match Wednesday afternoon. in which the one score was made by the juniors. The cup given by Mr. Sylvan and, which now adorns the mantle in the Wonman's Building, w'll be awarded to the winner of the tournament. --v.s.c. Pharmacy Society Meets Wednesday The Carolina Pharmtaceutical society held its regular meeting Wednesday night in I,eConte college. E. E. Hester gave an interesting paper on "Qualifi cat ions for Success," and R. l,. White readl an interesting article on "Things that are Essential to Increase Prescrip ion Trade." The society has fourteen new tmem h)ers this year. Officers for the year are :R. WV. Morrison, president ;J. H. Scarborough, vice-presidlett, and WV. A. Massebeau, secretary and treasurer.
