Freshman Gamecocks Defeat Furman Fresh. Biddies 19, Little WVind 0, in measiure the Freshman Gamecocks made up for the 'Varsity's defeat at Furman's iands recently by trimming the Purple young sters, last year's rutiners up for the Freshima,n championship. by the above nicitioned score iln Nov. 24th. The game was close fought through out the Biddies making 8 first downs, one inore than their opponents. In the aeral gaime they were far superior com pleting 5 passes, missing 8 attempts while the Greenville lads snatched down two not intended for them. Furman coni pleted onlyi one pass and let 15 fall short of their mark while 4 found a resting place in the arms of a garnet jerseyed youth. . A greater part of the game was play ed in Furman territory, Carolina scored in the first period when Carolina toko Woods kick out of bounds on Furman's 44 yard liine where it had been placed by a series of kicks.
