Important Fresh S. C. C. P. n han Game Today #,tJ puet Tonigt University of South Carolina VOL. XV. COLUMBIA, S. C., No'1'MB1R 24, 1922. N17NII WOFFORD FRESHMEN HERE TODAY Hard Game Expected From Terriers NEXT TO LAST GAME State Championship Depends Upon Game Today and Citadel Game Fresh from their victory over the Freshman eleven of Furman, the Caro lina Bi(ldics will meet the Young Ter riers of Wofford right here in our own back yard this afternoon. The game prmises to be a thrilling scrap as the Biddies with the State championship of their class in view, and having (own ed the Little Wind, who up until they tnct the Biddies held the same record as the Chicks-no defeats by a state team, will be out there fighting to keep ,thheir record clean, and annex another victory to their already long string. To compare the strength of the two teams is hard to do; the best one can (1o is to compare their records. 'I'he Biddies have an enviable record indeed. Out of six gaies played they have tet with only one defeat, and this at the hands of the team that is already acclaimed as Southern cham pions in the Freshman class-the Universiky of Florida Rats. Although they lost to this strong eleven the Chicks had the distinction of being the first team to score on the Young 'Ga tors. The Biddies played the strong and heavier University of North Caro lina freshman eleven to a standstill, the final score being a 6-6 tic. The Furman game was in doubt until the Biddies took the field and then thcre was no longer any doubt as to who would rotain their place in the ranks of the un(lefeated. The I,ittle Wnid could neither penetrate the line. circle ends, nor get away with an aerial at tack. They failed to register a single first down until the final period when they iade two. The Biddies are now the only Freshman team in the state that has not been defeated hv some other state team. The Terrier Pups have not played many games this scason but it seems ,that they have a strong aggregati,m. They met defeat at the hands of the Georgia Tech Freshmen. The Little Hurricane also (lowied them. They itn turn defeated the Citadel BeAl Pups. They hav ca scrappy team. and the Iiddies will not have any picnic when they tackle them this afternoon. Go to it Biddies ! We're all behind you! lil M. Y COUNCIL MEETING. T[he regilar meet ing- of the Y cottn cii was held last M otnday eveninig at Fl innt Hall.
