:Miss Louise Leonard c# Addresses Y. W. C. A. The Y. W. C. A. held one of the most delightful and helpful meetings of the year Monday of last week. The speaker of the -ifternoon was Miss Louise Leonard who is one of the ('en eral Secretaries of this field on Inldustrial Club work. She talked to the Carolina girls On "Cooperative Industrial Work." This is one of the most vital problems before the National Y. W. organization today-cooperation of the col lege girls and industrial girls. The chairman of the Service Committee of the University Club has been getting her plans under way for some construct ive work along this line this Spring and it was very timely to have this matter presented to the girls so ably and so defin ately by a leader in the work and one of its directors. After Miss Leonard's most inspiring talk, a practical discussion was conducte(d by Miss Leoi ard who answered many ques tions asked by the girls, and much interest and enthusiasm was shown by the Co-eds in this cooperative work. A study class will be conducted in the city within the next few weeks eomposed of three representa tives each from Carolina, Co lumbia, Chicora, Industrial Clubs and the Business Clubs. Those girls from Carolina who will take this course are Misses Stackhouse, Vaughan and Gibbes. A social hour was spent after the devotionals, at which time a committee served sand wiches, hot chocolate and wafers. HYPATIAN SOCIETY. The judlges decided in favor of the affirmative, but the negative saved their best point until after the decision of the judges--that was that the men hand been doing pr'etty well so far!
