DR. MORSE LECTURES AT VANDERBILT UNIV. Will Go Next Week as Ex change Lecturer From the University. Dr. Josiah Morse, of the De partment of Philosophy and Psychology, will go to Vander bilt University, Nashville, Tenn., next week as exchange lecturer from the University. About five years ago the uni versities of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Vanderbilt University entered into an agreement whereby each institution would alter nately send a member of its faculty each year to one of the other institutions to give a week's lecture. The plan was discontinued during the war. but this year it was undertaken again. Early this spring Prof. George Howe, of the University of North Carolina, came to South Carolina and gave a week's lectures here. Vander bilt will send a speaker to Vir ginia and Virginia will send her's to North Carolina. Dr. Morse, who will proba bly be at Vanderbilt all the week, will deliver a series of lectures to the students with one, and probably two, lectures to the students and public while at the institution. STUDENTS ORGANIZE OVERALL CLUB (Continued From Preceding Page.) method of warfare against the H. C. L. and the second in the South. It is hourly expected that the "learned chancellors" will follow the lead of the stu dents and declare war against the common enemy. There are dire rumors afloat that the co-eds will do likewise -the reporter of The Game cock could not ascertain wheth er it would be like, likewise or wise, but after Miss Getyer makes her speech in favor of the declaration, we think it will be likewise. However, Mist, Ketchim is opposed to be coming a regiment of Russian Lassies, and the declaration may be wise instead of like wvise. In this case the King's D)aughters will probably hurl their forces against the enemy by wvearing "gingham for morning," and "calico for even ing," with a sun bonnet to top them off. We do not expect the war to last more than two months, and while we will still have H. C. L., it will stand for "He Could't Live."
