Samuel D. Twitletaub in the Brith Shalo.w Synagoge, Charleston, S. C., last Sunday. High tribute was paid by Prof. Snowden, to the young man, who at the age of twenty two had given his life for his country. He told how this man had carried his pluck and grit off the football field to the bat tlefields of France, and had shown it in his determination to lead his men t; victory. Ap preciations of Lieut. Turtle taub's character and services from former Senator Christie Benet and Major W. C. Mc Goman were also read by Prof. Snowden. Reminiscences of Turtletaub were told by Sam Simonhoff, of the present Junior Law Class. It is very fitting that the memory of such a man be re tained in this manner. He shall be responsible to the joint assembly only and may be dis missed from office only by that body. The Associate Editor shall be chosen from the Clari osophic Society the first term each year and from the Euphra dian the last term. The first term Associate Editor shall be a member of the Senior class, the second term Associate Edi tor shall be a member of the Junior class. The joint assem bly will elect this officer at the same time the Editor-in-chief is elected. Sec. 4. The Business Mana ger, Assistant Business Mana ger, Circulation Manager, As sistant Circulation Manager shall be elected by the joint as sembly and shall continue in office for two terms or for one collegiate year. ARTICLE III. Section 1. It shall be the duty of the Editor-in-chief to make all assignments, to see that the paper is issued on time and to supervise the work of the staff. He will be held re sponsible for the success of the paper. Sec. 2. It shall be the duty of the Associate Editor to act as the direct assistant of the Editor-in-chief, and to edit the paper. when the latter is un$ ble to -do so. Sec. 3. It shall be the duty of the Business Manager to secure all advertisements for the pa per, to receive and pay all bills and to tend to all the financial duties to and for the publica tion. He shall inform the Edi tor-in-chief from time to time as to the financial condition of the paper. The Assistant Bus iness Manager will act as di rect assistant to the Business Manager. It will be his duty to collect for all advertisements. Sec. 4. It shall be the duty of the Circulation Manager to see that the paper is properly distributed to. all students, ad vertisers, subscribers and ex changes. He shall have charge of the subscription department and shall be responsible to the Business Manager for all funds received. The Assistant Circu lation Manager shall act as the direct assistant of the Circula tion Manager. Sec. 5. The Assistant Editor shall work under the supervi sion of the Editor-in-chief and shall report on all work as signed to them. They will be required to attend all meetings of the staff and will be respon sible to the Editor-in-chief for the correct performance of their office. ARTICLE IV. Section 1. The date of publi cation of the Gamecock shall be every Thursday, with the exception of the following weeks: Thanksgiving, Christ mas Holidays, Examination Week in February and the Commencement season. Fail ure to publish an issue each week will make the Editor-in chief subject to the censure of the joint assembly. He may, however, with the consent of the staff, delay the publication of the paper for a number of days not exceeding three. ARTICLE V. Section 1. This constitution shall be read before the joint assembly at the beginning of every term and later before the new staff. The newly elected Editor-in-chief shall be respon sible for the carrying out of this provision. Sec. 2. A two-thirds vote of all the members present at any meeting of the joint assembly will be necessary to amend the constitution, and that only af ter three readings of the amendment or amendments have been made before the joint assembly. All students will be charged an admission of 25c to the Clemson game. We wish to apologize for a statement made in our last is sue that'Di. In acdordance with the re quest of the student body the university authorities have made arrangements for the stu dents to secure coal from the college supply. Several extra cars have been ordered by Mar shal Haile and are expected in a few days. It will be sold to the students at a reduction of $1 per ton and will be delivered to the tenement doors.
