LAST BALL GAME LOST BY SCORE OF 1 TO 0. Pitching of Waring is Feature For Carolina. Carolina lost the last game of the season to Clemson by a score of 1 to 0 in one of the prettiest exhibitions of baseball ever pulled off on Davis Field. "Toots" Waring played his last game for Carolina in fine style. Only one Clemson man got far ther than first, and he turned the + trick as a result of a misjudged fly ball. Thrower, who pitched ~ for the Purple and Gold Friday, was again on the mound and he v also pitched a pretty game of ball. With one on in the first, V Rube Skinner laced one of his of - ferings in the Bull Durham ter " ritory which looked good for the circuit, but it curved a couple of feet foul. To open the fourth this same Skinner bounced a drive against the left field fence for two bases, but he couldn't get around. The only run of the game was made in the seventh. Richbourg went to third when Wilson mis judged .his high fly. A minute later Atkinson lifted a short, high fly, but the outfielders were meditating and the Tiger scored. Both pitchers deserved a shut out, but the breaks went to the visitors and the game went with it. However, it was a pretty game, one that did credit to both teams and the large assembly of fans enjoyed it. There was lots of "pep' 'in the stands and the Carolina student body gave a demonstration of spirit that made everybody interested in the University feel good. Capt.
