She has a place for each of them and expects every man to give her his best. Although we have not yet the opportunity of knowing you intimately, we ex pect great things of our war time freshman class. Remem ber that you are here to gradu ate. However couple with your studies a few college activities and go into them not only in or der that your education may be complete but that Carolina may receive full benefit from your stay. OUR HERITAGE On casting your lot with Caro lina you have automatically taken upon your self the obligation of observing and preserving her worthy traditons and customs. Foremost among these numerous trusts which have come to us and one which we are proudest is Carolina's "Honor System.'' We are justly proud of this heri tage not only because we have blazed the way for n.any other institutions in the UJn!ted States but because class after class has passed it to theirsuccessor's untar nisedI. T1he new men will soon realize that our honor system is not a form but a geniune part o f student li fe.
